You are trapped aboard a section of the Deathstar. You have had a near fatal encounter with the Dark Lord Vader, and your strength is all but gone. You know that Vader is somewhere near. You may not be able to destroy him but he guards a computer which holds information that you desperately need. To have any chance against the Dark Lord, you must get your Light Sabre, which you lost in a previous duel. Vader has placed a Huge Ugly Alien in guard of your sabre. Can you discover something that will destroy the alien creature?
Vader has also depressurised the corridor which holds the computer that has half of the needed transporter coordinates on it, as well as the transport itself and the elevator necessary to escape. How can you walk through the airless corridor? There must be a simple way! Your eventual escape lies on another floor, which is accessible by the elevator, but the path is blocked by force fields! Only the Glowing Emerald holds the power to let you pass unharmed through the force fields but, the emerald is locked in the ship's vault, which is a room in itself and is guarded by Vader. The only way to get into the vault is by using the transporter but, once you teleport, how do you return? Your communicator lies in a pit at the base of a cliff on the surface of the planet below. It fell there during your last encounter with the Dark Lord but, will it still work? You may have to listen to find out. At times you may need help and you know that it is smart to examine everything you can. SYZYGY has over 250 graphic pictures and 300 locations.
To Move: Use the forward arrow key. To Turn: Use right and left arrows. You may load or save a game in progress. If you do not keep moving, you can die of boredom. SYZYGY supports upper case via the shift key. A joystick is required to complete the light sabre battles. "Help" gives specific information on occasion. The arrows at the top of the screen show "obvious" directions of movement. To go through a door, simply walk into it.
